St. Margaret's CHC is located in the Harry Gwala District. We serve the community of Umzimkhulu and its surroundings. We ensure the provision of an integrated and comprehensive primary health care to our patients. St. Margaret's CHC has 5 satellite clinics which are Umzimkhulu, Riverside, Malenge and Sphamandla and Umvoti Clinics. The CHC  has replaced St Margaret's MDR-TB Hospital due to changes in disease profile and the need to meet the service delivery demands.  The Department of Health commissioned St Margaret's CHC

Our CHC is situated very close (4km away) from the town of Umzimkhulu. The basic facilities are located in the town, including Umzimkhulu Shopping Mall, banking facilities, postoffice, shops, supermarkets, furniture stores, petrol stations, car-washes, Steers, KFC, Nandos, police station, municipal offices, B&B's, taxi rank, etc. The Umzimkhulu Psychiatric Hospital is also situated close by. Durban is just 160km and PMB is only 100km away.
