Ms Nomagugu Simelane is the MEC for Health in KwaZulu-Natal, and the deputy provincial chairperson of the governing African National Congress.
Working with the Provincial and National Government, she showed exceptional leadership, depth and range when she championed and led the Province's highly-effective response to the unprecedented and deadly COVID - 19 pandemic, saving many lives in the process.
