St Andrews hospital is a district hospital with 210 beds. The hospital is located in the Umuziwabantu Municipality in the Ugu health district.
St Andrews hospital serves a predominantly rural population. About 21% of the head count are cross-border patients, mainly from the Eastern Cape. The majority of the patients are from the Harding suburbs (Ghost town, Zelia, Mazakhele, and Greenfields), and rural areas KwaMbotho, KwaJali, KwaMachi, KwaNyuswa, Umzimkhulu, Bhizana and Weza.
The hospital vision is to achieve a better health status for Umuziwabantu community by reducing morbidity and mortality rate through an accessible, comprehensive health system. The vision is supported by the hospitals mission and core values.
